Dry Powder Spotters Are All Dried Up |
| |
Since the vast majority of spots and stains – meaning almost 100% of all spills you will experience – are either water-soluble or solvent-soluble, it is best to use a spotter that will best suit your needs. If you are thinking dry is better, then think solvent spotters, which are dry liquid cleaners. Dry powder spotters cannot moisten and break down already dried crusty spots. They turn to a sticky paste when poured on most liquid spills. They do little more than stick to gooey substances like peanut butter and have a tendency to sift down to the base of your carpet fibers when over applied and become another form of soil you have to contend with.
Buy my amazing spot cleaning and total carpet care guide today and discover in, Chapter 5 page 126 what are the best dry powdered substances and the rare instances when they should be used, and Chapter 3, page 69 to learn how to choose the best spotters, to help you treat over 800 spills, spots, stains and disasters. |
